An advert with Border Tutors costs just £25 for the first year – that’s less than 50p a week! Renewals are only £20 a year which is less than 40p per week!
The above rate is for the first advert only. Additional adverts are £10 each per year. The online section is treated as one additional advert unless you only tutor online.
There are no plans to ever increase the advert renewal fee but, if there is an increase, existing advertisers will be given the opportunity to renew at the current rate.

Colin Green
He received his B.Ed (Primary) from N.S.W University, Sydney, Australia in 1988 and a Grad.Dip.Ed.Admin. the following year. After teaching for several years in state and private schools in Sydney he moved to the Scottish Borders and has been teaching there for the past 24 years. Colin is keen on teaching Financial and Enterprise education to his pupils and enjoys teaching in a collaborative style. He has completed research projects on Maths Underachievement and Pupil Learning Plans. Colin Tutors Maths at Primary School level and also teaches guitar for beginners.
Colin is a Primary School teacher in the Scottish Borders and was previously a Principal teacher at Yetholm, Chirnsde and Lauder Primary Schools.

Heather Dickson

She started her teaching career in Aberdeen as a secondary music teacher and has worked in various secondary schools teaching Music from S1 through to S6.
She has a significant amount of experience in presenting pupils for Standard Grade, Higher and Advanced Higher Music and has been involved in developing the Music curriculum for National 4 and 5.
Heather is involved in marking Higher Music: Listening exam papers for the SQA, and has participated in this for three years.

Mary Bertram

Since then I have taught at Berwickshire High School in Duns. I have taught S1-S6 at all levels, Standard Grade, Int 1 and 2, National 4 and 5 (this year) and also Higher.
This is my third year also teaching Higher Photography. I marked Standard Grade critical activity for the SQA for 3 years from 2009 – 2011.
I have tutored higher art and design critical activity, general standard grade revision and I have also taught Higher Photography out of school.

Happy to provide a bespoke one to one career coaching service to S4 to S6 pupils to help with career and course choice. This can be a one off service, ongoing coaching or provided online.
